Mayoral boards, Stamford

Lincoln Conservation is currently running a project conserving the Mayoral boards, Stamford Town Hall.

The age of the boards is unknown, however they pre-date 1700. The project will involve material analysis of the paint and varnish layers, removal of the discoloured varnish, consolidation of the painted finishes, retouching and varnishing. The project will run until 22nd March.
