Swiss Garden
This student-centred project oversaw the conservation and restoration of the rustic decoration on structures in this important Regency garden
The Swiss Garden in Bedfordshire was created in the early 19th century and is a rare survivor of the picturesque Regency style.
We were selected to take part in the programme of conservation and restoration reviving this hidden gem of English heritage, and tasked with reinstating the ornate rustic decoration of the cottage. This included unique patterns created by bark and Monteray pine cones and decorative panels of intricate paintwork.
